Claudia recently had an extensive courtroom sketching project in which she used pastels. The project had been so emotionally intense and grisly, she wanted to take this refound knowledge of the medium and turn it into a lighter and happier artistic expression.

She starts these pieces as a hand done drawing, with the paper and pastel texture, adding fine details on the computer which gives a homey feeling, without being dated.

This group of illustrations brings Claudia back to her roots. Hand drawn art with watercolor or airbrush is one of her favorite mediums. The current trend is reaching back toward a more organic style, which Claudia feels is most appealing and natural to her.
Ronnie's Christmas Surprize is the second book that she has written as well as illustrated. It is a bedtime story about her son Ronnie who wants a special playmate. On Christmas, he gets his wish.
Grandma and Me is a verse written and illustrated by Claudia about her special relationship with her Grandmother. She taught her to go for the gusto in life and she strives to live up to her example.
The two illustrations to the right are examples of Claudia's licensed character work. The subject matter was Polly Pocket and friends.
Claudia illustrated "Stranger Danger, the Rule" while a friendly verse asks" Please don't go" while illustrating many potentially dangerous instances in which children could be coaxed to go off with a stranger. The art reveals that menacing people may appear to be friendly and harmless.
